COWRIE is pleased to announce the release of the above report, prepared by ABPmer, with CEFAS and HR Wallingford. 

COWRIE commissioned the priority research ScourSed-09 to in order to produce a further review of sediment monitoring data from existing and under-construction offshore windfarms and to produce recommendations on future sediment monitoring practices and procedures, which will be of particular benefit to Round 3 offshore wind farm developments. The study has three key objectives: 

1. To enable the present evidence base, developed on behalf of DECC, to be extended
2. To review the new information and consider any new lessons learnt
3. To disseminate the findings to usefully inform the consents process facing new Round 3 projects
