COWRIE projects focus on priority research areas, which are identified by the Technical Working Groups, comprising marine environmental experts and specialists from relevant government departments, non-governmental organizations and developers.
COWRIE projects are designed to increase our knowledge and understanding of the potential environmental impacts of offshore windfarms in a number of broad subject areas: birds, marine mammals, cultural heritage, soundscape, fish and shellfish and data. In addition, COWRIE fund education and communication projects, including the development of web resources and workshops for school children.
