The colonial sea squirt Diplosoma listerianum

This is actually a colony of many tiny individuals (zooids) which group together around openings where seawater is pumped in and squirted out.  The water is then filtered to take out tiny food particles.  It forms a thin sheet which looks like transparent jelly, and grows over algae on hard surfaces.
