Common scoter

A small diving seaduck; the males are black and the females a little lighter.  These birds dive under water to catch small sea creatures such as crabs, shrimps and mussels which live on the seabed.  The common scoter is an endangered species and so it’s important to make sure that development doesn’t harm them.
